Job summary

Wolseley Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver – 32T to join our transport team. You will deliver goods to varied addresses, provide excellent customer service, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with colleagues in driving and transport administration.

The role requires a Class 1 HGV licence, CPC, tachograph knowledge, and comfort with digital handheld devices. 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Full, Class 1 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships.
• Experience with handheld devices or willingness to learn digital tech.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses via various routes.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote Wolseley brand.
• Adhere to Health & Safety; perform daily vehicle, equipment and load checks; report defects.
• Work with the transport team including driving team and transport administration.

As a HGV Driver based in Milton Keynes you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday
