Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Northampton is seeking a Class 1 HGV driver to join our weekend-free, full-time team. You will deliver goods on a Monday–Friday rota, with early starts and no weekend work, while adhering to safety rules and hours regulations.

The role includes regular vehicle checks, collecting returns, and ensuring on-time deliveries to customers. We offer a strong pension, 33 days leave, and access to staff discounts and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally 12 months recent driving experience

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently within Drivers' Hours and WTD guidelines
• Follow health and safety standards and The Highway Code
• Regular vehicle checks
• 4-5 Drops a day with some planned nights out
• Deliveries offloaded by customer; no manual handling
• Collect returns (Pallets and waste)
• No weekends or Bank holidays; Christmas shutdown

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• 4-5 Drops a day with some planned nights out
• All deliveries are offloaded by customer so no manual handling involved
• Collecting returns (Pallets and waste)
• No weekend or Bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown!

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
