Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Daventry is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team and deliver goods safely and on time. You will drive in line with Drivers' Hours and complete routine vehicle checks to ensure smooth operations.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C), Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card; ideally with 12 months recent driving experience and curtain-side vehicle experience.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C) with Driver CPC and Tachograph card.
• 12 months driving experience preferred.
• Curtain side experience on HGVs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a safe, efficient manner following regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and vehicle rules.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks.
• Handle and transport customer products securely.

Pay Rate: £38,555.64 plus overtime 1.5 after 42 hours
Grade: CA
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Four On, Four Off 42 hours per week-3am start time x 1 plus 21:00 up to 00:00 start times x 3
Location: Daventry (Crick Side)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE?

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO?

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience
• Previous experience with curtain side on HGVs
