Job summary

Barratt Developments plc in Basildon is seeking a Sales Adviser to help customers find their dream home and provide excellent service throughout the sales process. Reporting to a Sales Manager, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and understand customer needs, and you will be involved in product demonstrations and closing deals.

This role requires a flexible approach, weekend work, travel when needed, and IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering sales in a service environment (e.g., housebuilding, retail, hospitality, banking, estate agency).
• Commercially astute with a good understanding of the market and competitors.
• Understands and acts upon customer needs to maintain company reputation.
• Thrives under pressure and is driven to achieve targets.
• Communicates and negotiates persuasively and builds rapport with customers.
• Willing to adapt to new ways of working and share best practices.

Responsibilities

• Help customers find and purchase their dream home.
• Demonstrate product features and pricing to prospects.
• Follow up enquiries and convert to site visits.
• Maintain knowledge of local amenities, schools and transport links.
• Support the sales process to achieve targets.
