Job summary

Metro Rod Sussex & Kent is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join the Kent & Sussex area team. This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £27,000–£30,000 plus overtime and a benefits package. You will learn drainage clearance, cleaning, repair and installation while delivering high service standards and safety.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and reside in the Sussex/Kent area. Training and development are provided in a growing, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in basic drainage activities – unblocks etc.
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 21 for insurance purposes
• Must live in Sussex/Kent area
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a 2-man team with an existing engineer
• Carry out emergency services, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of drains
• Deliver high standards of customer service and technical expertise
• Operate in line with H&S and quality procedures
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard
• Accurately record completed work details in internal and client systems
• Communicate effectively to ensure excellent service at all times
• Cover standard hours and on-call rota for emergencies when required

What’s involved?

• Working as team alongside one of our existing Engineers tackling 2-man jobs
• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitudeCover normal working hours and “on call” out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of the these periods
