Job summary

Metro Rod Ltd. is seeking a Drainage Engineer to service drains across Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield regions. The role involves on-site work, driving time, and a 45-hour week with overtime and an on-call rota.

The ideal candidate will have experience with high-pressure jetting; CCTV surveying is advantageous. A full UK driving licence and willingness to work unsociable hours are required.

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting experience is preferred but training provided.
• CCTV surveying experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment per safety standards.
• Conduct surveys and record findings using internal systems.
• Provide high levels of customer service and technical guidance.
• Accurately log job details in client systems and apps.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the support centre.
• Participate in on-call rota to service clients 24/7/365.

Drainage Engineer

Salary £14-£16 per hour DOE plus overtime & on-call
45 hours per week on-site + paid driving time

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to the business needs

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
• Be willing to work some unsociable hours
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live in the West Yorkshire area
