Job summary

Metro Rod & Metro Plumb West Yorkshire in Leeds and surrounding areas is seeking a Drainage Engineer to join our team. You will carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains, and operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to required safety standards.

You will also conduct surveys, deliver an excellent standard of customer service, log work details in our systems, and participate in an on-call rota to cover 24/7/365.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying beneficial but training provided for the right candidate.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Willing to work some unsociable hours and be part of a growing business.

Responsibilities

Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax & Wakefield areas

Salary £14-£16 per hour DOE plus overtime & on-call

45 hours per week on-site + paid driving time

Metro Rod work with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers' drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to the business needs

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
• Be willing to work some unsociable hours
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live in the West Yorkshire area
