Job summary

Metro Rod & Metro Plumb West Yorkshire is seeking a Drainage Engineer to join our team serving Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield. The role involves draining cleaning, repair and maintenance work with on-site duties, a company van, and paid driving time.

You will work in a fast-growing franchise division within a reputable provider of drain services. Applicants should hold a Full UK driving licence, live in the West Yorkshire area, and be prepared for an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience with high pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying is beneficial but not essential; full training provided for the right candidate.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours and be part of an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance for customer drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment following safety standards.
• Carry out surveys and record work details in internal systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients and support centre staff to ensure service quality.

Drainage Engineer

Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax & Wakefield areas

Salary £14-£16 per hour DOE plus overtime & on-call

45 hours per week on-site + paid driving time

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to the business needs

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
• Be willing to work some unsociable hours
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live in the West Yorkshire area
