Job summary

Metro Rod Ltd. is seeking a Drainage Engineer to operate in the West Yorkshire area, including Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield. You will carry out drainage cleaning, jetting and surveys, recording job details and maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to work unsociable hours, and provides on-call duties with overtime opportunities. A van and fuel card are provided along with other benefits.

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying; training provided for right candidate.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude; willing to work unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence; live in West Yorkshire area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment per safety standards.
• Carry out surveys and record work details in internal systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical advice to clients.
• Be part of an on-call rota to service clients 24/7/365.

Drainage Engineer
Metro Rod & Metro Plumb West Yorkshire
Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax & Wakefield areas
Salary £14-£16 per hour DOE plus overtime & on-call
45 hours per week on-site + paid driving time

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four– variable according to the business needs

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
• Be willing to work some unsociable hours
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live in the West Yorkshire area
