Job summary

Muslim Hands is seeking a Donor Engagement and Retention Manager in the UK to shape and own the donor retention strategy from scratch. You will create multi-channel journeys to onboard and nurture donors, and drive a re-engagement plan for lapsed donors, working with cross-functional teams to prioritise donor needs.

The role requires a minimum of five years in fundraising with UK regulatory knowledge, strong analytics, and a proactive, clear communicator.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years+ experience in a fundraising team with knowledge of UK fundraising regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of retention metrics.
• Strategic thinking skills.
• Clear and confident communicator.
• Right to work in the UK; DBS check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a retention strategy for donor base including onboarding, retention and re-engagement.
• Lead on multi-channel donor journeys (email, SMS, WhatsApp, apps, web, social).
• Collaborate with back-office to set up journeys and monitor performance.
• Monitor retention metrics and provide monthly reports to leadership.
• Oversee donor care function and respond to queries from fundraising bodies.
• Champion donor-first communications across the organisation.
