NHS Property Services is seeking a dedicated and motivated Domestic Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring our facilities provide a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising a team of domestic staff to maintain high-quality cleaning standards.
  • Scheduling and allocating work to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning protocols, health and safety regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Providing training and support to your team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Complete any reports or paperwork associated with the role, including but not limited to timesheets verification, absence records, annual leave information, stock order forms & Health & Safety audits.
  • Undertake the rostering of staff and ensure all absences are appropriately covered.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a cleaning or facilities management environment.
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence and travel to other sites is required.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, COSHH, and infection control standards.
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills, Supervisory: 1 year (preferred).
  • Licence/Certification: UK driving licence as travel to other sites is required.

Our 6,000 colleagues have expertise in every area of estates and facilities management within the NHS.

Hours: Working 37.5 hours/week through NHS Professionals bank Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 or 12:00-20:00, or a combination of both within the same week. It is essential that you can work either the early or late shift when required.
