Job summary

QE Facilities Ltd, based in the North East of England, seeks a supervisor to develop and monitor supervisory and domestic services staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness and client well-being. You will coach teams, manage rotas, and ensure safety and infection control compliance across on-site premises.

Responsibilities include performance reviews, on-site supervision of contractors, fault logging and hands-on support when required, contributing to QE Facilities' service level delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising domestic services staff.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and health and safety standards.
• Ability to coach, train and assess staff performance.

Job description

You will be expected to develop, supervise and monitor the performance of Supervisory staff and Domestic Services staff to ensure that premises managed by QE Facilities Ltd are presented in such a manner as to promote an image of high standards of cleanliness, order, and patient/ client well-being.,

• Supervise and develop a team of people.
• Including coaching and training of Supervisory Staff and Domestic Services staff.
• Monitor performance levels by reviewing fault sheets provided from internal auditing.
• Ensure staff work in a safe manner observing all Infection Prevention Control measures, Health and Safety, COSHH, moving and handling training etc. at all times.
• Plugs and cable checking on all domestic equipment.
• Carry out probationary reviews with new starters, support and guide front line staff.
• Arrange and manage appraisal process and support development needs identified.
• Compile/Check weekly rotas ensuring all shifts are covered.
• Manage allocation of annual leave and ensure staffing levels are maintained.
• Ensure daily, weekly, and regular cleaning and infection control practices as defined by QE Facilities Ltd Policy, Procedures and Service Level Agreements within the designated area(s).
• Supervise daily, weekly and monthly scheduled tasks are signed off ensuring all related actions are completed.
• Oversee work completed by external window cleaning contractor whilst on site quality check work and ensure any remedial action required is completed.
• Undertake fault call logging for maintenance services provided by QE Facilities and its contractors.
• Offer support at "hands on level" when require.
• Carry out documents conversations and step one performance management in line with the performance management policy.
• Any other duties in line with level of authority.QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England. We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA). In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
