Job summary

QE Facilities Limited is seeking a proactive Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) administrator to take a lead role in managing and interrogating BEMS for efficient building services and compliance activities. You will oversee a range of BEMS, monitor performance, advise on installations and upgrades, and ensure quality commissioning of BMS controls.

• Oversee compliant administration and operation of a range of BEMS, monitor performance and investigate anomalies.
• Lead with design and commissioning teams to ensure metering and controls specifications are met.
• Ensure up-to-date licensing and security updates for the BEMS, and manage user access.
• Work with in-house engineering and external service providers on lifecycle planning, replacements and upgrades.
• Assist the Energy Team in delivering energy efficiency improvements and compliance with energy and carbon obligations.

Job description

As part of a team dedicated to managing and controlling the Groups performance of energy, water and carbon emissions, you will take a lead role in administration and interrogation of the Building Energy Management Systems including:supporting the effective utilisation of the BEMS as an asset for efficient building services, optimising energy efficiency, and ensuring quality evidence for the Energy Team's compliance activities,having responsibility for overseeing the operation of a range of BEMS, monitoring performance, advising on proposed installations and upgrades. Ensuring quality commissioning of BMS controls, investigating anomalies and faults, inspecting commissioned BEMS systems and recommending courses of action where faults or anomalies are identified. Lead role with design and commissioning teams ensuring that projects comply with agreed metering and controls specifications. Responsible for the administration of the BEMS to ensure up to date licensing (including software, security updates and user access). Working closely with engineering, maintenance colleagues and external service providers to manage lifecycle planning, replacement and upgrades. Supporting the Energy Team in developing and delivering efficiency improvements, asset management, digitisation and compliance with statutory energy and carbon obligations. Analysing performance of Energy Centres and onsite power and heat generation, supporting recommendations for optimising operations.

Main duties of the job

• Responsible for overseeing compliant administration and operation of a range of BEMS, monitoring performance, advising on proposed installations and upgrades, ensure quality commissioning of BMS controls, and investigating anomalies and faults
• Responsible for inspecting commissioned BEMS systems and recommending courses of action where faults or anomalies are identified
• Lead role with design and commissioning teams and ensure that projects comply with agreed metering and controls specifications
• Responsible for the compliant administration of the BEMS, to ensure up to date licensing and updates (including software, security updates, and user access to the BEMS)
• Work closely with inhouse engineering and maintenance colleagues and external service providers to manage lifecycle planning, replacement and upgrades of the BEMS
• Support the Energy Team in development and delivery of energy efficiency improvements, asset management, digitisation, and compliance with statutory energy and carbon obligations as required, in line with the Groups sustainability commitments, and work closely with the team to analyse performance of the Groups Energy Centres and onsite power and heat generation, and support with recommendations for optimising energy centre operations.
