Job summary

Westgate Healthcare is hiring Domestic / Laundry Assistants to join our caring team. The role focuses on cleaning resident rooms, maintaining hygiene, restocking supplies and assisting with laundry tasks to support elderly residents with dignity and respect.

The position offers 30 hours per week from 8:00am to 4:00pm, including alternate weekends. Pay is £12.71 per hour with a weekend enhancement of £0.50 per hour, plus benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and laundry duties in care or hospitality settings preferred.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards.
• Able to work flexible shifts including weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms focusing on surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms.
• Maintain and replenish cleaning products and ensure equipment is clean and stored properly.
• Follow health and safety procedures and uphold company standards for cleanliness and infection control.
• Ensure public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and complete follow-up actions.

About The Role

About the role:

• 30 hours per week
• 8:00am to 4:00pm, covering 4 shifts over 7, must be flexible to cover alternate weekends
• £12.71 per hour, plus 50p p/h weekend enhancement
• To clean all assigned rooms, paying close attention to all surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms
• Maintain and replenish all cleaning products
• Ensure that all equipment is clean, well maintained and stored properly
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, ensuring that all company operational standards are met in line with quality, cleanliness, infection control, health and safety and business needs
• Ensure that all public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times
• Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported immediately and followed up as required
