Responsibilities

• Serve meals and present them attractively at the correct temperature.
• Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Work with care staff to accommodate residents’ meal preferences.
• Help wash crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness per COSHH and health and safety rules.
• Handle deliveries, storage and inventory rotation as required.

We are looking for a compassionate and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our family. We are looking for individuals who share our values, have an interest in helping others, a can-do attitude and who will treat the people we support with care, compassion and respect.

About The Role

About the role:

• £12.71 per hour, plus 50p p/h weekend enhancement
• 31.5 hrs per week - working from 8am to 5.30pm 3-4 shifts a week
• Serving meals, ensuring they are presented to a high standard and at the correct temperature
• Support in the Kitchen with the preparation of meals
• Work closely with care staff to accommodate residents’ individual meal preferences
• Assist in washing crockery, cutlery, cooking and serving utensils and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with COSHH regulations
• Ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed
• Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Chef
• Accept and process kitchen deliveries, ensuring correct storage and inventory rotation
