Job summary

Westgate is seeking a pro-active Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our team. You will help care for elderly residents, clean rooms and maintain facilities with care, compassion and respect.

Role is 30 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm across 4 shifts over 7 days. Competitive pay (£12.71/hour) with a 50p/hour weekend enhancement; flexible to cover alternate weekends. Training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team with a caring attitude.
• Understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control and COSHH.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned rooms, paying attention to surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms.
• Maintain and replenish cleaning products.
• Ensure equipment is clean, well maintained and stored properly.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and company standards.
• Ensure public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up as required.
