Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Domestic Cleaner at Royal Stoke Hospital to help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. The role is part-time, with 26.25 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off schedule, from 6am to 2pm, at Royal Stoke Hospital in ST4 6QG.

Salary ranges between £10.90 and £13.14 per hour, with uniform, benefits, and 20 days plus bank holidays. Join our team to contribute to health and wellbeing in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms, and other hospital areas.
• Strip and clean beds, collect used linen for processing.
• Clean surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping and replenishing supplies.
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse per hospital protocols.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms, and other hospital areas
• Strip and clean beds, collect used linen for processing
• Clean surfaces, including desks, ceilings, vents, blinds, and walls, to maintain a hygienic environment
• Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors
