Job summary

We’re looking for a Domestic Cleaner to join the Sodexo team at Royal Stoke Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. In this vital role, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, supporting health and wellbeing throughout the hospital.

You’ll perform cleaning duties across patient rooms, wards, and communal areas, strip and wash linens, and ensure a hygienic environment with a strong focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms, and other hospital areas.
• Strip and clean beds, collect used linen for processing.
• Clean surfaces, including desks, ceilings, vents, blinds, and walls, to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies.
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols.
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.
