Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd in Exeter seeks a skilled Document Controller to join our project delivery teams. You’ll manage and control project documentation to ensure accurate distribution, storage, and retrieval across sites.

You will work with engineers, site teams, and clients, maintain document registers, support ISO 9001/19650 compliance, and contribute to continuous improvements of our EDMS and workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Document Controller in engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple documents, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, distribute, and archive project documentation.
• Maintain document registers, transmittals, and audit trails.
• Ensure correct naming, numbering, and revision control.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence in controlled systems.
• Assist engineers with preparation and issue of documents.
• Produce O&M manuals, technical reports, and asset information packs.
• Operate internal Document Management systems.
• Apply document workflows, metadata, and permissions.
• Support continuous improvement of document control processes.
• Attend meetings with project teams.
