Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is recruiting a GMC-registered doctor to join as a WCA Functional Assessor in Birmingham. The role involves conducting up to five client assessments daily via phone, video, or in person, and producing factual reports to support DWP decisions.

What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day who are claiming for WCA (Work Capability Assessment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
