Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a DMS Lead to lead a team of SmartComms Engineers and shape the delivery of customer communications across multiple channels. The role is based in Guildford or Bournemouth with hybrid working (2 days per week) and a circa £70,000 annual salary.

You will drive technical leadership, ensure best-practice standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to align document changes with business requirements while managing risks and interdependencies across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing technical delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of document management and customer communication solutions.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and delivery approaches.
• Understanding of logic documents and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of fulfilment methods, distribution channels and print formats.
• Experience with SmartComms or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing risks and issues in delivery.
• Knowledge of document architecture and impact on wider systems.
• Understanding of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
• Experience delivering multi-channel communications (email, print, SMS, PDF).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of SmartComms Engineers and set objectives.
• Collaborate with DMS Leads to prioritise document changes.
• Manage competing demands and identify alternative delivery approaches.
• Provide technical direction and ensure best-practice solutions.
• Drive effective use of document management toolsets.
• Act as Allianz UK business owner for SmartComms and ensure policy compliance.
• Support wider change programmes and manage interdependencies.
• Design document solutions using shared assets and templates.
• Work with stakeholders to manage risks and delivery priorities.
• Champion continuous improvement in development and fulfilment processes.
