Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Divisional General Manager to drive performance improvements across elective care and cancer pathways. You will oversee RTT targets, outpatient productivity, and workforce planning while leading strategic transformation projects that improve patient access and experience.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills, plus a Master’s degree and extensive NHS leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a professional or numerate discipline.
• Experience in NHS management with elective care and cancer standards.
• Ability to develop reports and use data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of elective access targets and cancer pathways across the Trust.
• Oversee RTT and cancer performance and drive service redesign and efficiency improvements.
• Manage budgets and lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet quality and performance goals.
• Collaborate on digital booking systems and data reporting to inform strategic decisions.
• Represent the Trust at regional and national forums and drive workforce development.
