Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead the transformation of cancer and diagnostic services across the East Midlands. The role requires senior leadership to drive multi-organisation programmes and deliver improvements in patient outcomes and performance.

You will translate national policy into regional delivery, oversee budgets and governance, and lead the development of regional cancer and diagnostics transformation programmes, including

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) with evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Extensive experience leading complex transformation programmes within the NHS or similar organisations.
• Strong understanding of cancer services, diagnostics and operational performance improvement.
• Significant experience developing long-term strategic plans and translating policy into delivery.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience managing substantial budgets, governance and programme assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex, multi-organisational programmes that improve cancer services and diagnostic pathways across the East Midlands.
• Provide strategic leadership by translating national policy into regional delivery and achieving improvements in patient outcomes and operational performance.
• Lead the development and delivery of regional cancer and diagnostics transformation programmes.
• Lead the transformation of diagnostic services across the region, including Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs).
