Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Deputy General Manager in the Cancer Business Unit. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee performance, financial management and governance, and deputise for the General Manager when required.

You will work with clinical and corporate teams to ensure high-quality cancer services while driving efficiency and patient outcomes across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent and extensive up-to-date knowledge of the NHS.
• Continuing professional development (CPD) demonstrated.
• Evidence of being a team-player with the ability to view the big picture.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational, performance and financial management of the Cancer Business Unit.
• Monitor and improve performance against national and local targets, including cancer pathways and RTT standards.
• Develop service improvements, redesign projects and transformation initiatives to meet patient needs.
