Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of cancer improvement programmes across the East Midlands. The role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and cross-organisational collaboration to deliver measurable improvements in cancer diagnosis, treatment and patient experience.

You will work with Integrated Care Boards, NHS provider Trusts and national teams to shape cancer care delivery, with hybrid working from

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Significant experience leading large, complex transformation programmes across organisational boundaries.
Strong knowledge of NHS strategy, cancer services and programme delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Experience managing complex budgets, governance and risk.

Responsibilities

Leading the design, mobilisation and delivery of major regional cancer programmes.
Driving service transformation and pathway improvement across multiple NHS organisations.
Leading programme governance, risk management and assurance.
Developing regional delivery plans aligned to NHS England priorities.
Providing strategic leadership to Expert Clinical Advisory Groups (ECAGs).
