Breedon Group plc is seeking a Distribution Coordinator based at the Durham Gate Office. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service by planning and meeting delivery promises while optimising EBIT. The job sits in Customer Service and Distribution with permanent, full-time employment.

You will work across production, transport and commercial teams to build and maintain an efficient distribution plan, ensuring orders are captured accurately and deliveries are made on time.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating distribution or logistics operations.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of production and transport to influence distribution plans.
• Capture and place customer orders in line with quotations and processes.
• Build and optimise distribution plans to meet customer needs and collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Transport teams.
• Plan driver rest times and ensure adherence to H&S policies.
• Call customers the day before delivery to confirm orders and schedules.
• Respond promptly to changes in the plan due to customer or production factors.
• Ensure compliance and data integrity in transport processes and record declined orders.
• Develop strong relationships with customers to identify sales opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs like plan adherence and drive improvements in service and efficiency.
• Implement changes aligned with Customer & Commercial Excellence initiatives.
