Job summary

Breedon Group in Durham is seeking a Distribution Co-ordinator to ensure on-time delivery and a high standard of customer service within the Customer Service and Distribution team.

You will plan distribution, manage customer orders, and liaise with Commercial, Operations and Transport to enable a balanced and efficient delivery network. A proactive communicator, you’ll monitor KPIs and drive improvements in service and EBIT.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of production and transport to shape distribution plans.
• Capture and place customer orders accurately in Breedon’s systems.
• Build and optimise a distribution plan with cross-functional input.
• Plan driver rest times and uphold Health & Safety policy.
• Contact customers day before delivery to confirm schedules.
• Adapt plans for changes in production or customer needs.
• Ensure data integrity and capture declined orders and lost volume.
• Develop strong customer relationships by phone to spot opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in customer experience and efficiency.
• Implement changes in line with Customer & Commercial Excellence.
