Job summary

Breedon Group plc in County Durham is seeking a Distribution Co-ordinator to deliver outstanding customer service by planning distributions, meeting delivery promises and optimising EBIT. You’ll work across production, transport and commercial teams to build efficient distribution plans, communicate with customers, and drive improvements through data and KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of production and transport availability to enable proactive distribution plan development
• Capture and place customer orders in line with quotations ensuring accurate information in Breedon’s systems
• Build and optimise a distribution plan to meet customer needs and support a balanced and efficient distribution schedule
• Plan driver rest times and proactively manage H&S policy compliance
• Contact customers the day before delivery to confirm orders and delivery schedule
• Respond to changes in the plan due to customer circumstances or production availability, minimising impact and proactively notifying customers
• Ensure transport and distribution data integrity to enable informed decision making and KPI monitoring
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships over the phone to identify sales opportunities and alert Commercial Team
• Influence and review shared performance KPIs to drive improvement in customer experience and distribution efficiency
• Implement changes to ways of working in line with Customer & Commercial Excellence initiatives
