Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a reliable Dispatch Operative to join a dynamic team in West Yorkshire. The role involves processing orders, quality checks, and coordination with the dispatch team. Ideal candidates should have good attention to detail and basic computer skills. Prior experience in dispatch or manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory. This is a temporary to permanent position offering an hourly wage of £12.21.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dispatch role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Candidate must be able to get to WF4 for a 6am start (limited bus routes).

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately using the in-house system.
  • Pack customer orders ensuring documents are attached.
  • Sort parcels into the correct courier locations.
  • Achieve set daily dispatch targets.

Dispatch Operative

Salary: £12.21p/h

Hours: Monday - Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday 6am - 7pm (Training will be Mon - Fri 8am - 4.30pm and max of 2 weeks)

Location: Grange Moor, WF4

Duration: Temporary - Permanent

We're currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatch Operative to join our clients dynamic team and play a vital role in getting goods out the door and into customers' hands - fast and flawlessly!

Responsibilities

  • Basic component knowledge and computer skills are required - processing customer orders.
  • Accurate picking and scanning of products using our in-house system.
  • Pack customer orders to a high standard ensuring relevant documents are attached where necessary.
  • Visual quality check of systems before dispatching to ensure perfect condition.
  • Sort parcels into the correct courier locations.
  • Palletise bulk orders and specialised computers.
  • Load orders onto wagons at end of day following the courier scan process.
  • Achieve set daily dispatch targets.
  • Liaise with Call Centre and Accounts team to swiftly deal with issues preventing dispatch (Windows Teams).
  • Reporting directly to Dispatch supervisor.
  • Verbal and written communication.

Requirements:

  • Good eye for detail.
  • Successful candidate must be able to get to WF4 for 6am start (limited bus routes).
  • Previous experience in a dispatch role or working within a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
