Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is recruiting Functional Assessors across England for hybrid roles in healthcare assessment (PIP/WCA). Roles are full-time, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm with no nights or weekends and a supportive training program.

You'll conduct telephone, video and face-to-face assessments, review medical evidence and produce objective reports for the DWP, leveraging your clinical experience to determine impact on daily living and work capability.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting.
• At least 1 year of active NMC or HCPC registration.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Excellent report-writing and typing skills.
• Good IT skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
• Sponsorship is not available for these roles.

Responsibilities

• Explore how health conditions affect everyday activities and work.
• Review medical evidence and health questionnaires.
• Ask detailed questions about functional ability.
• Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP.

You’ll use your existing clinical knowledge and assessment skills in a new way, helping to assess how health conditions affect people's everyday lives and ability to work.

You’ll need:

Salary

• PIP Functional Assessor £45,000–£47,000 + excellent bonus scheme (Typically 3 assessments per day)
• WCA Functional Assessor £48,000–£49,000 + excellent bonus scheme (Typically 5–6 shorter assessments per day)

Roles are subject to availability and service requirements in each geographical area.

Ideally, candidates should be open to either PIP or WCA. Where possible, we may be able to accommodate a preference, although this cannot be guaranteed.
