Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is hiring Disability Assessors in Luton. Hybrid role, full-time Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, with part-time options (3/4 days). You will conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments, review medical evidence, and draft reports for the DWP. Comprehensive training is provided, with clear progression and benefits.

Salary ranges from £45,000 to £48,000 per year, with a £1,000 increase at 6/12 months based on performance. Excellent pension and bonus schemes are also mentioned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of post-registration experience in an adult setting.
• Active NMC/HCPC/GPHC registration for 1 year or more.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Excellent report-writing and typing skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Ability to manage own caseload and work independently.
• PIP and WCA assessment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments with claimants.
• Explore how health conditions affect daily activities and work.
• Review medical evidence and health questionnaires.
• Ask detailed questions about functional ability.
• Use clinical reasoning to inform assessments.
• Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP.
• Make recommendations based on assessment findings.
