Area Manager – Alcohol and Drug Service (North/Northwest)

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Area Manager – Alcohol and Drug Service North/Northwest (500987) and only one position will be filled on merit. This position is eligible for a Multi Disciplinary Allowance.

The Team:

At the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS), we operate across Tasmania’s North, North West and South—reaching communities through our hubs and regional outreach centres. Our teams help people take decisive steps toward healthier lives, reducing harms from alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.

The Role:

In this leadership role, you will:

  • Set direction and deliver results

    Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external providers to ensure clients receive seamless, coordinated support.

You will need:

  • Significant high-level knowledge of and experience in management and leadership of professionals. Contemporary management knowledge, experience and skills in service delivery, strategic planning, policy development, human resources, business, project, change and information management.
  • High-level strategic, conceptual, analytical and creative skills, along with the ability to plan and prioritise activities, formulate complex professional judgements and provide appropriate analysis of research relevant to the sector.
  • Highly developed professional frame of reference encompassing interpersonal, communication, supervision, representation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, including the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Completion of progression toward the completing of a post graduate qualification relevant to the position.

Salary:$141,509 to $164,681 per annum.
