Royal Trinity Hospice is seeking a Digital Educator / Digital Development Officer to lead and deliver a structured Digital Skills Programme across clinical and non-clinical teams. You will build confidence in Microsoft 365 and related tools, creating workshops, guides and bite-sized resources to embed digital capability throughout the hospice.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering training, facilitation or learning programmes, ideally including digital skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Outlook; experience or awareness of Copilot is desirable.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts into accessible, practical guidance for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence across teams.
  • Content creation skills, including guides, videos, workshops and other learning materials.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to assess impact, improve learning delivery and support informed decision-making.
  • Awareness of digital inclusion, accessibility best practice, adult learning principles and change management approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Hospice’s Digital Skills Programme, ensuring a range of digital skills interventions are in place across clinical and non-clinical platforms, Microsoft 365 and other core digital tools.
  • Create engaging learning content, including workshops, guides, videos and bite-sized learning resources.
  • Identify digital skills gaps and tailor interventions to different teams, roles and levels of digital confidence.
  • Act as a digital champion, promoting best practice, adoption and positive digital behaviours across the organisation.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to embed digital tools into everyday workflows and improve how technology supports compassionate care.
  • Monitor and report on adoption, engagement and the impact of digital initiatives, using insight and data to improve delivery.
  • Lead and refresh the IT induction programme, ensuring content reflects current and new digital platforms and implementations.
  • Support and develop the Tech Buddy programme through regular meetings, communications, training opportunities and recognition.

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

This role is central to empowering our staff and volunteers with the digital confidence and skills they need to deliver outstanding services. You will join a forward-thinking IT team driving digital inclusion, innovation and real organisational impact.


As Digital Educator / Digital Development Officer, you will lead, design and deliver a structured Digital Skills Programme aligned to organisational priorities. You will support clinical and non-clinical teams, staff and volunteers to build confidence in Microsoft 365 and other core digital tools, creating practical learning content and embedding digital capability across the Hospice.


Overall purpose of the role

  • Length of service for those joining directly from another CQC regulated organisation (NHS, social care, hospice) is recognised in annual leave, maternity, paternity and long-term sickness pay
