Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Digital Transformation practitioner to support clinical ICT rollouts across three sites. You will embed digital solutions into practice, work with clinical teams, and help implement new patient information systems to improve safety and experience.

The role focuses on assisting the deployment team to meet programme goals, undertake audit design, and collaborate with ICT and supplier teams in a busy NHS Trust environment.

  • Support the roll out and embed the DBTH Digital Transformation Programme across clinical areas as part of the deployment team.
  • Focus on Trust wide documentation and enable staff to develop and improve patient information systems and processes.
  • Provide practical support to clinical teams for new ways of working related to clinical ICT and service improvement.

Job description

To deliver and provide support for clinical led teaching to medical staff, nursing staff and allied health care professionals. This includes supporting in the development of clinical practices and subsequent implementation of digital solutions across the Trust to embed the solutions into working practices and contributing to the body of clinical knowledge.
The post holder will be expected to assist in the delivery of the DBTH Digital: Transformation Programme within the Trust to ensure that the Trust’s strategic and business goals are met. Involvement in undertaking and designing audit processes will be a key requirement of the role.
This is a fixed term post for 18 months.
Please note that interviews will be held in person on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th September 2026. We are not able to accommodate virtual interviews, there is also a requirement to work across all 3 sites over a 5 day period, this is not a remote working role.
Key roles and responsibilities are to support the roll out and embed the DBTH Digital Transformation Programme across clinical areas as part of the deployment team, with a key focus on Trust wide documentation. Working as a vital part of DBTH they will be integral to the success of the DBTH Digital Transformation Programme and will support the Champion in enabling staff to develop and improve patient information systems and processes across clinical services in the Trust.
The post holder will provide practical support to the clinical teams to take forward new ways of working related to clinical ICT and to continually seek service improvement. The post holder will support the deployment team to ensure that the goals of the overall programme plan are met and working collaboratively with the clinical, ICT and Supplier Deployment Teams deliver new systems in support of DBTH clinical staff including mobile technologies. Improving patient safety, quality and patient experience is an explicit priority rather than an assumption and needs to underpin all elements of digital initiatives. The post holder will be expected to work across all sites.
