Job summary

Royal Trinity Hospice is seeking a Business Process Partner to lead the review, design, and optimisation of processes across clinical, operational, and corporate services. You will collaborate with teams to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements, support digital adoption, and ensure processes enable efficient service delivery and high-quality patient care.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and experience with BPMN, Lean, and Microsoft 365.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; map and redesign processes.

Salary: £49,500 to £54,900 (Mulberry grade – Gardenia)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Contract: Permanent

As a Business Process Partner, you will play a key role in transforming how we work by reviewing, designing, and improving processes across clinical, operational, and corporate services.

You will work collaboratively with teams to identify opportunities for improvement, support digital adoption and help ensure our processes enable efficient service delivery and high-quality patient care.

Overall purpose of the role
  • Lead the review, design and optimisation of business processes across clinical, operational and corporate functions.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements aligned to organisational strategy.
  • Map current and future-state processes using recognised methodologies such as BPMN, Lean and service design approaches.
  • Support digital transformation programmes, ensuring processes align with Microsoft 365 and other business systems.
  • Use data, performance metrics and customer insight to inform decisions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by coaching colleagues in Agile, Lean and service improvement practices.
Skills and experience required
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, with a degree or equivalent experience in business, IT, transformation or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, transformation, operational excellence or business change roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to map, document and redesign processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in presenting complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of business process management methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN and continuous improvement approaches.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital tools, with experience of workflow automation or BPM tools desirable.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and teams; healthcare, hospice or charity sector experience is desirable.
  • A flexible, practical and proactive approach, with the ability to build credibility, support change, and deliver sustainable improvements.
