Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Digital Education trainer to support implementation and development across our NHS sites at Royal Bolton Hospital. You will deliver and evaluate high-quality training using a blended approach, including face-to-face, virtual sessions and eLearning, while building engaging resources and evaluating user needs.

The role requires experience with NHS digital systems, training staff, and developing e-learning packages.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in the NHS and using computerised systems in the NHS.
  • Experience in supporting and training staff in clinical systems.
  • Experience in developing e-learning packages.
  • Knowledge/experience of TNAs, design, plan, delivering training, Highly Computer literate.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience of using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience of using Clinical Systems, Evidence of formal teaching/training qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training, support and knowledge to support the implementation and development of digital education within the Trust.
  • Evaluate and test current and new software; plan, develop, deliver and evaluate training courses.
  • Motivate users and provide problem-solving support; log, answer and resolve queries.
  • Liaise with users and internal/external contacts; support project teams and suppliers as required.
  • Represent Digital Education at meetings and acquire detailed knowledge of systems to advise managers.
  • Deliver high-quality training through blended methods and create engaging learning resources.

Job description

Provide training, support and knowledge to support the implementation and development of all elements of Digital Education being implemented within the Trust. To ensure that all users make full and effective use of Digital tools by evaluating and testing current and new software, as well as planning, developing, delivering and evaluating training courses., Motivate users who are reluctant to embrace new Digital Skills and use powers of persuasion to enhance the benefits new skills will bring. Receive, assess and respond to user queries providing problem solving support and follow up training, if appropriate, ensuring that all queries are logged, answered and resolved in a timely manner, and elevate as appropriate. Liaise and communicate effectively with users, and internal and external contacts as required. To support the wider Digital Team and take responsibility for managing training and testing aspects of projects, highlighting any issues to the relevant Project Team member. Assist in the review of the performance of systems and participate in regular review meetings with suppliers and users as required. Represent Digital, or deputise for the Digital Education Manager, at meetings internal and external to the Trust. Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the systems/applications and provide advice and support to assist departmental managers and colleagues when appropriate. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative Digital Education Team. The successful candidate will deliver and evaluate high-quality training to individuals and groups through a blended approach, including face-to-face sessions, virtual platforms and eLearning. Experience in clinical systems training and digital content development is desirable, but full training and support will be provided. The role involves creating engaging learning resources such as eLearning modules and instructional videos. We are seeking a reliable and adaptable individual with strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly. You will work autonomously, manage your workload effectively and contribute positively to a supportive team. Flexibility to travel between sites and occasional evening or weekend working is required. The role is based at Royal Bolton Hospital, with flexible and agile working supported.
