Job summary

United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority seeks a Digital Site and Communications Officer to drive digital channels, create engaging content and build stakeholder engagement for the STEP programme, working with partners, authorities and communities.

You will support public consultations, organise community events and manage inquiries, using data to improve reach and impact. Strong CMS, social media and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent relevant communications experience.
• Experience in communications, public affairs, stakeholder engagement or external affairs.
• Proven ability to organise and deliver community, stakeholder or public engagement events.
• Experience in large, complex or matrix organisations or programmes.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, social media platforms and digital analytics tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Understanding of UK government structures in major programmes.
• Creative, innovative and proactive approach to communications.

Responsibilities

• Drive our digital presence across UKFE’s channels, including website and social media.
• Support community and stakeholder engagement through public consultations and events.
• Lead management of public enquiries and reporting of stakeholder feedback.
• Represent the organisation and provide communications guidance to colleagues and leaders.
