Job summary

UK Fusion Energy (UKFE) Ltd. is seeking a Digital and Site Communications Officer to develop and deliver impactful communications across digital and community channels.

You will work with local authorities and community stakeholders to build understanding, trust and support for the STEP programme. The role blends digital communications with face-to-face stakeholder engagement, community consultation and event delivery, requiring strong CMS skills, content creation, and proactive engagement with

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent communications experience.
• Experience in communications, public affairs, stakeholder engagement or external affairs.
• Proven experience organizing and delivering community, stakeholder or public engagement events.
• Experience working in large, complex or matrix organisations.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, social media platforms and digital analytics tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Understanding of UK government structures and role of government in major programmes.
• Creative, innovative and proactive approach to communications.
• Ability to represent the organisation professionally and act as an ambassador.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital communications channels (website, social media).
• Create engaging content and campaigns to raise awareness of the STEP programme.
• Review and optimise website content, structure and user experience.
• Develop strategies to maximise digital reach and brand awareness.
• Monitor performance metrics to improve communications.
• Act as key point of contact for digital communications advice.
