Job summary

Axiom Personnel Ltd is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot diesel generators across various sites in the UK. The role requires hands-on diagnostic skills, strong customer communication, and the ability to work within health and safety standards.

You will be involved in planned maintenance, fault repairs, and timely reporting, with opportunities to work on international projects at enhanced pay rates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining diesel generators (standby or rental).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Take part in the company on-call rota - 1 in 7 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on standby generators up to 2.5 MW.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs promptly.
• Complete site reports and documentation to a high standard.
• Liaise with customers to provide excellent service and support.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with installations and commissioning as required.
• Participate in on-call rota for emergency, weekend, and out-of-hours support.
