Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking an experienced Service Engineer in the West of England to maintain and repair customer-owned and rental diesel generators. You will interact with customers and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure service excellence.

The role covers routine servicing, fault diagnostics, site surveys, and on-off duty on-call work. A mechanical or electrical engineering qualification and proven generator service background are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering accepted.
• Experience servicing and repairing diesel generators (essential).
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel generators for customer-owned and rental equipment.
• Diagnose faults and repair generators and ensure quick resolution.
• Conduct site surveys to assess service needs and maintenance requirements.
• Participate in on-call rota to provide timely after-hours support.
• Follow ISO and health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
