Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and accredited Psychotherapist to join the Diabetes Care For You service across East Sussex. The role involves delivering low to medium intensity psychological interventions by telephone and face-to-face, within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).

You will provide assessments, formulations, and interventions, supervise trainees, and contribute to service development while ensuring safeguarding and robust clinical records.

Qualifications

• Registered/accredited Psychological Professional (PSA-recognised body) required.
• Experience with psychological assessments and risk management.
• Experience with clinical supervision and CPD in psychology.
• Ability to provide teaching and training to patients and professionals.
• High-standard clinical record keeping and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for adults with diabetes.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies (telephony or face-to-face) and contribute to group education.
• Maintain professional records and discharge plans; manage safeguarding reporting.
• Provide supervision and training to trainees and contribute to service policies and audits.
• Collaborate with MDT and other professionals to inform treatment plans.
