Job summary

BCUHB invites applications for a Clinical/Practitioner Psychologist to join the Diabetes Psychology Service in North Wales. The post offers fixed term/secondment until 16 April 2027 with options for Band 7 or Band 8a, and remote working is supported.

The successful applicant will work within a three-psychologist team, providing clinical input to the Central IHC diabetes service, online therapy groups, and service development in collaboration with Wales-wide networks.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology accredited by the BPS.
• Eligibility for Chartered status with the BPS.
• Honours degree in Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical work within the Central BCUHB Adult Diabetes Service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advise on diabetes management.
• Deliver training, supervision, and consultancy to staff.
• Contribute to service evaluation and planning.
