MediaKind in Southampton, UK, is hiring a Developer Advocate to shape developer experience for MK.IO. You will translate complex streaming capabilities into accessible content, engage with developer communities, and influence product direction.

The role focuses on creating tutorials, demos, and technical content while partnering with engineering to ship developer-friendly features. Hybrid work and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a tech or marketing field with a passion for technology.
• Hands-on experience with web technologies, APIs and modern frameworks.
• Understanding of video streaming concepts or eagerness to dive into media tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, docs or videos).
• Strong empathy for developer frustrations and challenges.
• Passion for helping others succeed and developer engagement.
• Experience in developer communities, forums or open source projects.
• Natural networking ability and relationship-building enthusiasm.
• Creative problem-solving and willingness to experiment with new ideas.
• Legal right to work in the UK long-term; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Developer Community and advocate for developers’ needs.
• Build and nurture our developer community via forums and social channels.
• Create feedback channels to ensure every developer voice is heard.
• Drive transformation of documentation and learning resources.
• Design tutorials, guides, and interactive demos for MK.IO.
• Produce technical content such as videos, blogs and tutorials.
• Host webinars and represent MK.IO at events and meetups.
• Collaborate with engineering for developer-friendly features and docs.
• Test features from a developer perspective for self-service quality.
