Job summary

MediaKind is seeking a Developer Advocate to join the Product Management team in Southampton. You will translate complex streaming tech into accessible experiences for developers, while growing a vibrant MK.IO developer community and shaping documentation and tutorials.

The role offers a hybrid work model with 2-3 days in the Southampton office, and involves creating technical content, hosting webinars, and engaging with developers at events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent qualification
  • Hands-on experience with web technologies, APIs, and modern development frameworks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Experience creating technical content (blog posts, tutorials, documentation, or videos)
  • Strong empathy for developer frustrations and challenges
  • Experience participating in developer communities, forums, or open source projects
  • Natural networking ability and enthusiasm for building relationships
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical mindset

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Developer Community by advocating for developers and translating feedback into improvements
  • Transform Developer Experience by modernising docs and learning resources
  • Create compelling technical content including video, blogs, and tutorials
  • Bridge complexity and simplicity by collaborating with engineering and ensuring developer-friendly interfaces
