Job summary

DDH Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Pastry Chef for a luxury hotel in Sidmouth, Devon. You will lead all bakery duties in the hotel kitchen, design the dessert menu with the head chef, and create unique desserts for the restaurant.

You will manage stock, train new chefs, and support other departments as needed, while maintaining strict cleanliness and safety standards and ensuring staff dress code is observed. Experience in a hotel to a high standard and 1 Rosette experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel kitchen to a very high standard using fresh ingredients.
• 1 Rosette experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• You will be in charge of all baking duties in the kitchen.
• Design the restaurant's dessert menu with the head chef.
• Maintain stock levels and inform management when running low.
• Train new chefs and assist other departments when needed.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety and dress standards are observed in your area.
• Create unique desserts exclusive to the restaurant.
