Job summary

Hesketh James in Brockenhurst is seeking a Pastry Chef/Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section of a stunning multi-award-winning hotel. You will run the pastry team, create exquisite desserts for restaurant service, afternoon teas and private events, and report to the Executive Head Chef.

The ideal candidate has solid high-end pastry experience, a passion for creativity and a drive to learn and develop skills within a prestigious hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Solid high-end pastry experience at Pastry Chef/Head Pastry Chef level.
• Experience leading a pastry section in a high-end premium restaurant or hotel.
• Passion for pastry, innovation and attention to detail.
• Able to develop the team and collaborate with Head Chef.
• Strong understanding of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate desserts, cakes and pastries.
• Lead pastry service for restaurant, afternoon teas and private dinners.
• Maintain high standards and food safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to ensure pastry items meet top quality.
