Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Bromborough is inviting applications for a Despatch Operative to join our factory team. You will handle orders, pick, prepare, dispatch, and operate PPT trucks in a fast-paced environment, with full training provided for the right candidate.

This role includes stock control, accurate documentation, and a 4-on-4-off shift pattern from 07:00 to 19:00, with overtime paid at premium rates and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and good communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Previous warehouse or despatch experience is advantageous but not essential.
• PPT (pallet truck) operation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, prepare, and dispatch customer orders in line with company requirements.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete dispatch documentation and stock records accurately.
• Operate Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control.
• Ensure products are stored, handled, and dispatched in line with quality and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Report any stock discrepancies, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operative to join our team at the Bromborough site!

The successful candidate will be computer literate, possess good communication skills, and be a quick learner. This role involves manual handling duties, stock control, order preparation, and operating PPT trucks. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
