Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting a proactive Despatch Coordinator to manage daily despatch operations at a Ware, Hertfordshire site. The role involves coordinating dispatch activity, ensuring accurate packing, labeling and documentation, and liaising with customers and carriers to meet delivery deadlines.

With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, you will support stock control, ensure regulatory compliance and work closely with warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• Proven inbound/despatch experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Able to lift heavier items safely.
• Strong organisational skills; juggle priorities.
• Clear communicator with professional approach.
• High attention to detail in checking, labeling & documentation.
• Calm under pressure with solutions mindset.
• Knowledge of logistics/transport processes.
• MS Office proficient; ERP/WMS experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily despatch activity to meet delivery deadlines.
• Build and manage despatch plans to keep transport/shipments running efficiently.
• Verify outgoing shipments against customer orders and documentation.
• Ensure items are labeled, packaged and meet quality standards before leaving site.
• Liaise with customers, carriers and internal teams to confirm delivery requirements and resolve queries.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on ETAs, delays and issues.
