Job summary

Walkers Shortbread in Elgin is looking for a full-time Despatch Administrator to join our Despatch Team. The role covers couriers, enquiries, checking order progress with production, and arranging collections/hauliers.

It is 38 hours per week with hours 08:00-16:30 Mon-Thu and 08:00-14:30 Fri. Responsibilities include general admin, ensuring orders progress to despatch on time, arranging despatch paperwork, liaising with warehouse and internal departments, handling emails and calls, and dealing

Qualifications

• General administration and despatch experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• General administration duties within the department.
• Checking orders progress from production to despatch to meet due dates.
• Arranging and producing despatch paperwork.
• Arranging orders with warehouse staff and liaising with internal departments.
• Checking emails and replying or escalating as needed.
• Answering phone calls.
• Dealing with external suppliers as needed.
