Job summary

West Mercia Police is seeking a Deskside Support & Engineering Services Lead to provide operational leadership for ICT services in Worcester. You will lead the Deskside Support and Engineering Services teams, manage resources and priorities, and drive improvements to support policing and business objectives.

The role covers incident management, lifecycle management of the technology estate, and collaboration with stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams to deliver reliable, secure ICT

Qualifications

• Applicants must have resided in the UK for a continuous period of at least 5 years immediately prior to submitting their application.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and management of the Deskside Support and Engineering Services teams to deliver a high-quality ICT service.
• Oversee incidents, service requests and technical issues across CCTV, Airwave, radios, network, laptops, desktops, mobile devices and AV equipment; coordinate resolutions.
• Mentor, develop and support staff to maintain a resilient and professional service across the force.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams to ensure services are delivered reliably and in line with operational requirements.
